About the Artwork

Whispers of the Ancestors presents a gathering of tall, slender figures whose bodies flow upward like rising smoke or water. Their forms intertwine, hands resting gently on one another’s shoulders and waists, as though each figure is holding the next. Calm, watchful faces emerge from the sweeping curves, appearing and receding as if they belong to something larger than themselves.

Every surface is alive with intricate black-and-white linework: tight cross-hatching, net-like patterns, and wave-shaped contours that guide the eye from the bottom of the piece to the top. Set against a deep burgundy background scattered with tiny blossoms, the composition feels both ancient and quietly spiritual, a meditation on family, memory, and the bonds that carry us through generations.

A striking statement piece for a living room, hallway, or reflective space, and a meaningful gift for anyone honoring their roots or their loved ones.

Every purchase helps share the beauty of Haitian art with the world.
