The Sound of the Beat

About the Artwork

The Sound of the Beat captures a moment of pure celebration. Four women dance close together around a tall drum, their long beaded braids swinging wide with every turn of the rhythm. Arms lift, hips sway, and smiles break through as the music carries them.

Rendered in shimmering gold and deep violet against a black background, the figures seem to glow from within. Delicate details (stacked bangles, layered necklaces, and beaded skirts) catch the light like sparks, while the flowing lines of the braids give the whole scene its sense of motion. It is a tribute to music, sisterhood, and the joy that lives at the heart of Haitian culture.

A radiant statement piece for a living room, dining room, or any space where people gather, and a meaningful gift for anyone who loves music, dance, or Caribbean art.

Every purchase helps share the beauty of Haitian art with the world.
